We are pleased to announce that our recent collaborative work with Prof. Weichang Zhou and Prof. Dongsheng Tang has been published in the current issue of Advanced Optical Materials:

This study reports dual-mode self-trapped exciton (STE) emission with high linear polarization from the orthorhombic crystal Cu₃PS₃Se, featuring red and near-infrared emission channels. A remarkable polarization degree of up to 0.51 was achieved, opening new possibilities for STE-based optical polarizers and photodetectors.

SOEL Graduate student Guoting Li (co-first author) employed polarization-resolved transient spectroscopy to uncover the role of anisotropic optical absorption and electron–phonon coupling in shaping the polarization characteristics of STE emission.

Congratulations to all collaborators on this exciting achievement!
